About Anagramify
Anagramify is a small set of free anagram tools: a solver that finds every word in a set of letters, a Jumble solver, and a generator and maker for multi-word anagrams of phrases and names. Everything runs in your browser, and the tools do not send the letters you type anywhere (see our privacy policy).
How it works
The first time you use a tool, your browser downloads one compressed word list (712 KB) and keeps it in its cache. A background worker then checks every word against your letters, so results appear while you type and the page never freezes.
Word lists and licences
US English has 185,681 words, UK English 188,100 and All words 188,294. The phrase tools use a shorter list of 34,401 common words. These are not the official tournament dictionaries of any word game.

- SCOWL / English Speller Database by Kevin Atkinson, used under its permissive licence, which is reproduced in our word list file.
- wordfreq by Robyn Speer, CC BY-SA 4.0. We use its word frequencies to rank phrases; the frequency column in our word list is shared under the same licence.
- List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene and Otherwise Bad Words (English), CC BY 4.0. We use it only to hide offensive words behind a "show" button.
